Chrysocolla

I am so excited about my work with chrysocolla crystal this week! This stone has some amazing properties, which I will describe for you. It is a beautiful blue-green color and is often found in conjunction with other stones, such as malachite. Chrysocolla is known for its metaphysical properties of calming and soothing energy.

Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper phyllosilicate mineral that is often found in the oxidized zones of copper deposits. It typically forms as botryoidal or stalactitic masses and can be a secondary mineral in the alteration zone of copper ore bodies. Chrysocolla has also been known to replace wood and bones in some fossil deposits. This mineral is commonly found in the United States, Australia, Chile, Peru, and France. Chrysocolla has a Mohs hardness of between two and four and a specific gravity of two to three. It is translucent to opaque with a vitreous to dull luster and its color can range from blue to bluish green.

Chrysocolla has spiritual characteristics, such as emotional balance and peace. It is said to be a stone of peace and wisdom, and can help to ease fear, anxiety, and tension. Chrysocolla is also believed to promote communication and self-expression. This crystal works well with other stones that have similar energies, such as amethyst, turquoise, and lapis lazuli. If you are looking for a stone to help you relax and find inner peace, chrysocolla is an excellent choice.

I have found that Chrysocolla is an incredibly calming and soothing presence in my life.  One special stone has been aiding me during my meditations. I have been having difficulty with many of my limiting beliefs. “I am not working hard enough.” “I don’t really have anything special to give.” Chrysocolla’s connection to my center and higher self was surprising. It led me to visualize being underwater in an ocean that was an area protected by some sort of clear glass. There I could just float and watch the whole ocean. Another time it communicated “just be”, so that has been my focus this week. The last time I meditated with it, I was invited to dive into the center of the crystal and observe all that was around me in awe. I was not supposed to do anything or solve any problems. Just look around at the beauty that made up this crystal. I hope it comes to mind when you need some peaceful reassurance that you are perfect where you are right now.

If you are looking for a stone to help you relax and find inner peace, chrysocolla is an excellent choice. This crystal can help to ease fear, anxiety, and tension, and promote communication and self-expression. If you are working through any limiting beliefs, chrysocolla can also be a helpful ally.
